He did not felt well in Marina del Rey at ICANN meetings, missed the reception at Paul Getty's Museum. He left on Friday 16 November 2001 morning, flying via Miami to St.Thomas, preparing for a necessary small chirurgical operation, as he informed few friends.
For nothing in the world Peter would like to disclose he was ill or suffering. He was fighting like a lion with the cancer of liver, willing to be back with us, and to travel again.
I have enjoyed working with you all, and will continue to do so in the background until I am sufficiently recovered to travel again.Peter de Blanc's adieu and testament to his friends:
